    <content type="html">&lt;p&gt;Emily obviously did not do her OB rotation yet.&amp;nbsp; She just said, "the baby is going to move down into the birth canal before you are ready and dilated and could suffocate."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What??!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Since the cervix had to be completely dilated for the baby to begin to move into the birth canal, what she described is physcially impossible.&amp;nbsp; What kind of hysterical 19th century crap is she learning in medical school??&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sure, if the mom IS dilated and baby moves into the &lt;em&gt;pelvis &lt;/em&gt;and becomes stuck from CPD (cephalo-pelvic disproportion = baby too big/pelvis too small), THAT would be an emergency, but in this case, Alexis not completely dilating would not be an emergency, it would be a blessing!!&amp;nbsp; And Emily, if there is a problem&amp;nbsp; with the baby's size, GET MOM OFF HER BACK/BUTT and onto her hands and knees or squatting so the coccyx and sacrum can shift around to accommodate that baby moving down!!&amp;nbsp; Being on the back or butt keeps the full pelvis from moving and shifting.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Rant off.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</content>
